Winter 2016 Anime Review – Week 1

Prince of Stride: Sugooi! I really like this anime, I won’t be missing this each week at all. From the beginning to the end it was engaging. I really like the art and characters already. I love sports anime too! So this is new and right up my alley, especially with Haikyuu not on air again. I can’t wait to see the 3rd years. I’m sure the long-haired guy will be my favorite.

Haruta & Chika: I really like music anime series. This one is no exception. It has a very interesting cast and storyline already. I think that Haruta looks like Momiji (fruits Basket) as a High Schooler or even what Mitsukuni Haninozuka aka Honey senpai (Ouran High School Host Club) is supposed to look like as a High School student – with blue eyes. LOL! Anyways, it was a good first episode.

Active Raid: I like the two main characters already. I also like the maintenance guy. I love his voice and character from High School Star Musical – Ootori. I almost expected to hear him say, “Let’s go, boys!” Also the girl with the ponytail is Neko from K, I almost felt like she would say, “meow” at the end of her sentence at the end of the episode. So far it is like a combination of Power Rangers, Fafner and Gundam. I really like the art work and the characters so far.

Shoujo-Tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu: It wasn’t interesting at all. I was absolutely bored with the first episode. I don’t usually get bored so easily but that definitely happened here. I’m not sure if I will even watch a second episode.

Norn9: Norn+Nonet: This was very engaging at the beginning and kind of slows down in the middle and then gets interesting again at the end. I liked the nice array of characters, especially since all the men are pretty boys. HEHEHE. The summary of this story is kind of deceiving but I guess it’s because they might not have gotten to the main character…if he is the main character that is, but I guess we’ll see.

Dagashi Kashi: This is one of those overly dumb anime shows where it stops being funny after a while. I do like the storyline and the characters but it’s a bit over done. I probably won’t watch it any more after episode one.

Bubuki Buranki: It was very interesting from the beginning but more questions arose as I was watching and I guess that’s okay for the plot and everything and to get you to watch the second episode. But I think it was too many questions to ponder on for just a week. It makes me wanna not really watch it when it has so many questions from the beginning.
