Anime…A-NI-me….A-NI-ME…say it with me ~ ANIME!!! The good thing about anime is that there is always something new being aired..why? Because anime is from manga and manga is never ending. But the good thing is that we’re always getting new series even here in the U.S. each season. Yes, and we get to watch them as they are being streamed in Japan as well. Thank you Crunchyroll. So here are this season’s anime that I’m totally looking forward to watching.

Kenshin Set

Rurouni Kenshin…need I say more? I’ve seen it hundreds of times, but it’s always good to watch it once again…again…and again….

Plot: Himura Kenshin is a vagabond with a dark past and sunny disposition. Not a ronin but a rurouni, he was never a samurai, but an assassin of utmost skill in the Meiji restoration, who in the turning point of the war simply walked away. His travels lead him to Tokyo in the 11th year of the Meiji era, where he befriends a female Kendo master, a former thief, a brawler and a doctor all with their own secrets. Together they fight off the enemies surfacing from the dark past that Kenshin cannot escape.

Nobunaga the Fool….well, I thought I was getting an anime series about Edo time period and it turns out to be a smash of historical characters on two different planets. I’m not sure how this will turn out, but the mecha did catch my attention during the first episode, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next.

5f02a7cd8ec96513606ee61e2bf577751388431438_fullPlot: The planets of the East and the West were once connected by the Ama-no-Hashidate. The culture that built it was destroyed countless years ago, and the two planets have had separate histories ever since. On the Western planet, ancient culture is experiencing a renaissance after a long period of war. Jeanne Kaguya D’Arc, a girl from the Western Planet, was prophesied to be the Savior of the World at her birth. With Leonard Da Vinci, she lands on the Eastern Planet, where Nobunaga “the Fool” longs for the power to change the world, as his planet is still locked in a war where many heroes vie for supremacy. When these two people meet, the culture of both worlds will be transformed.

Hamatora…this series reminded me of The Unlimited and also of Get Backers. But let’s hope this one is worth watching. The first episode seems to be interesting enough though.

Plot: ”Minimum” – a special inborn power found in a limited number of human beings, known as “minimum holders.” In Yokohama, the detective team Hamatora, formed by two minimum holders named Nice and Murasaki, comes across information connected to a serial killer being pursued by their old friend Art. It turns out all the victims are minimum holders like them. Unwillingly at first, the two detectives become involved in the investigation.

0e71f08f4c295126888cc5e9d8bd7abd1388433166_fullThe Pilot’s  Love Song…I’m not really sure about this series, I just hope it isn’t another Allison and Lillia type of story. But it does seem interesting.

Plot: As a beautiful daughter of the noble family del Moral, Fana was proposed by Prince Carlo, who is the crown prince of their country Levamme. However, since Levamme is at war with Amatsuvian, the marriage had to wait until the war ends. Meanwhile, as a bestado, the lowest caste in Levamme, Charles had always dreamed of flying and eventually became the ace pilot of the air force.

Seitokai Yakuindomo…I’m not sure what to make of this series yet, I still need to watch the first episode but so far, it seems like it will be comedy. I hope for the best.

ce0b94c4f3c371439f15783bb837575f1388521216_fullPlot: Our story here circulates around the Osai Academy, formerly an all-girls private high school which has recently been integrated for both genders. Our protagonist, Takatoshi Tsuda is pushed into becoming the vice-president of the student council, where he is the lone male member surrounded by 3 beautiful girls.

0cf2bb1d8613e37f7b8913b0cc85065b1389123747_fullNisekoi…stories like these never seem to work out. It somehow ends up that the story wasn’t what really happened and the person that originally left doesn’t like the other one any more. But besides this, I still look forward to watching this anime and hopefully laughing until my sides hurt.

Plot: Raku Ichijo is an average high school student. He also happens to be the sole heir to the head of a Yakuza Family called the Shuei-gumi. 10 years ago, Raku made a promise… a secret promise with a girl he met. They promised one another that they will “get married when they reunite.” Since then, Raku never let go of the pendant the girl gave him.

4af1352dfef762a7f4ab95fd2263a83b1388891357_fullZ/X IGNITION…and finally this story seems the most interesting. I love other dimension anime series but this one does seem like there are going to be a lot of paradoxes just like in other time travel stories.

Plot: In the not-so-distant future, five portals suddenly appeared acting as gateways to alternative worlds. However, these five worlds are actually the same world, but in different timelines. As the situation becomes increasingly dire, the inhabitants of each world will stop at nothing to ensure the survival of their own timeline, even at the expense of the other timelines. The key to survival lies in one card-shaped device…”
